Sunday, November 5th, 2017, 09.00 – 21.00 : Symposium organized on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the German Language and Literature Department, School of Philosophy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Tuesday, November 7th, 2017, 19.00 : Opening ceremony of the exhibition entitled: «Satirical Maps: Cartographical Records and Historical Lessons» organized by the Athens History Museum in the framework of the 180th anniversary of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Sunday, November 19th, 2017 18:00 - 21:00 : Lectures, open to the public, organized by the International Urban Laboratory for Public Space entitled: «Urban Transcripts: Transforming the [Re]public». Speakers: H.Biskos, Architect – Coordinator of the programme SynAthina, P.Prentou, Urban Environment Laboratory of Architecture of National Technical University of Athens and V. Tsioutsiou, Architect. The lectures are organized by Urban Transcripts in collaboration with the Laboratory of Urban Environment of the National Technical University of Athens.

 Monday, November 20th , 2017, 12.00-13.00 and 17.00-21.00 :  Lectures, open to the public, organized by the International Urban Laboratory for Public Space entitled: «Urban Transcripts: Transforming the [Re]public».  Speakers (morning session): D.Karydis, Professor Emeritus of the National Technical University of Athens. Speakers (evening session) : P.Tournikiotis, Professor of Architecture, National Technical University of Athens C. Vassilikou, Lecturer of Architecture, Reading University, U.K. and N. Anastasopoulos, Lecturer of Architecture, National Technical University of Athens.  The lectures are organized by Urban Transcripts in collaboration with the Laboratory of Urban Environment of the National Technical University of Athens.

Thursday, November 23rd, 2017, Friday, November 24th, 2017, 9:00-21:00 : International Conference entitled : «Rhetorics of (dis)unity: Community and division in Greco-Roman prose and poetry».  The conference is organized by the Department of Philology, School of Philosophy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in collaboration with the Universities of Cyprus, Oxford and Sienna.

8th Dialectical Symposium organized by the World Philosophical Forum.

Saturday, October 7th, 2017, 11.00 – 15.00 : The Museum will be open  in the framework of the University activity «The University Museums open to the public». The activity is part of the events organized for the 180th anniversary of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens .

Saturday, October 14th, 2017 10:00 - 18:30 : International Symposium on Daseinsanalysis organized by the Hellenic Society for Phenomenological Existential Analysis and psychotherapy in collaboration with the Austrian Daseinsanalysis.

Μοnday, October 16th, Tuesday, October 17th, Wednesday, October 18th, Thursday, October 19th, Friday, October 20th, 2017, 10:00 – 14:00 & 17:00 – 20:00 : Inter-orthodox Iconography Exhibition organized by the UNESCO Club for Arts, Letters and Sciences of Greece and it is under the auspices of the National Hellenic Committee for UNESCO and the Holy Archdiocese of Athens.

Wednesday, July 12th 2017, 18.00 – 22.00: Artistic event (in the Greek language) entitled “Snapshots of theatrical and poetic speech” with the performance of three one-act plays by Professor Antonis Makridimitris, a concert and poetic recitation. The event is organised in the framework of the course “Administration, Education and Art” of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration.

Friday, June 9th 2017, 08.30 – 20.00:  International symposium in the French and the English language entitled “Du pillage à la conscience patrimoniale en Grèce et dans l’ Empire ottoman: le rôle des Français et des autres Occidentaux (1784-1884) - From pillage to patrimonial awareness in Greece and in the Ottoman Empire: The French and other Westerner’s role (1784-1884)”. The event is co-organized by the Athens University History Museum, the University Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (laboratory: Dynamiques patrimoniales et culturelles) and the succor of the French School at Athens

Saturday, 6th of May 2017, 11.00 – 15.00: The Museum will be open in the context of the University activity “The University Museums open to the public”.

Saturday, 6th of May 2017, 11.00 – 15.00: Opening of the periodical exhibition “The Banner of the University of Athens: Contemporary visual approaches” and a concert of traditional Greek music by postgraduate students of the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Sunday, 7th of May 2017, 11.00 – 16.00: The Museum will be open to the public.

Tuesday, 9th of May 2017, 19.00 – 21.00: Scientific event entitled “Science Festival: Experiments in Physics for all ages”. The event is organised by the 26th High School of Athens – Marasleion.

Wednesday, 10th of May 2017, 11.00 – 16.00: Εvent in the context of the ERASMUS+ programme entitled “IMPADA National Info Day: Improving the effectiveness of adult education for disadvantaged groups”. The event is organised by the Company PROMEA.

Monday, 15th of May 2017, 18.30 – 20.30: Lecture in the English language entitled “Museums and contested histories: a time for Critical Museology” by Jesus Pedro Lorente, Art History and Museology Professor at the University of Saragossa (Spain). The event is organised in the context of the International Museum Day 2017 by the MA in Museums Studies Programme of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Department of Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art, TEI of Athens in collaboration with the Athens University History Museum.

Sunday, 21st of May 2017, 10.30 – 14.00: Symposium entitled “Museums and contested histories: Saying the unspeakable in museum” and documentary screening entitled “The Silent Witness” by Dimitris Koutsiabasiakos, discussion with the director and Ignite style presentations by students and graduates of the MA in Museum Studies Programme. The symposium is organised in the framework of the International Museum Day 2017, by the MA in Museums Studies Programme of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Department of Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art, TEI of Athens in collaboration with the Athens University History Museum.
