Academic staff from partner institutions wishing to visit the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens for a short teaching period should contact the International Relations Office of their institution in order to be informed about the selection procedure. After the selection, partner institutions send their nominations to the European and International Relations Department of the NKUA email erasmus[at]uoa[dot]gr 

Necessary documents to be sent by the nominated staff members to the European and International Relations Department erasmus[at]uoa[dot]gr

One month prior to the mobility period:

  1. On-line Application form for Teaching 
    (Instructions for the Application form)
  2. Completed and signed Mobility Agreement for Teaching
  3. Curriculum Vitae
  4. Photocopy of Visa (if necessary)
  5. Photocopy of the first page of the bank passbook with the details of their bank account where the financial support should be transferred (Bank account number, Bank account holder, Bank name, Address of the bank branch, Clearing/BIC/SWIFT number, IBAN number). If a bank passbook is not available, other document stating the above is acceptable.
  6. Photocopy of a valid passport
  7. Photocopy of an insurance contract issued or translated in English covering:
    - basic (national) health care insurance,
    - general liability insurance coverage for third party and
    - personal accident coverage

Ten days before arrival at NKUA 

A copy of the receipt of ticket/e-ticket payment.

Upon arrival at NKUA (1st day)

Check-in at the European and International Relations Department of NKUA (Historical Central Building of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Propylaia, 30, Panepistimiou street, 106 79 Athens, Greece)

  • Sign the original Erasmus+ Grant Agreement for Teaching (see sample) in order to proceed with the payment of the first part of the financial support.
  • Submit the original receipt of ticket/e-ticket payment and the boarding pass.

Leaving NKUA (5th day)

Check out at the European and International Relations Department of the NKUA

After departure and within 20 calendar  days

- the boarding pass (scanned)  and
- a short report of the teaching and other activities during the visit, accompanied by a short photo gallery.

  • Complete and submit the online EU Survey within 20 calendar days upon receipt of the invitation link sent by e-mail from the European Commission, in order to receive the remaining 30% of the financial support. Please check the folder of junk/spam of your email inbox too. Participants who fail to complete and submit the online EU Survey may be required to partially or fully reimburse the financial support received.
