ON ARRIVAL IN ATHENS
All incoming Erasmus students are obliged to attend the Orientation Day which takes place at the Main building of the University (Propylaia), at 30 Panepistimiou Street.
The Orientation Day takes place twice per year:
End of September for students of the 1st semester
Beginning of February for students of the 2nd semester
(The exact dates are announced on our website by the end of June)
During the Orientation Day students are pre-registered and obtain the "Certificate for the Admission as an Erasmus Student" necessary for their enrollment in their respective Faculties. They also receive information concerning their stay and studies at the University of Athens.
If a student arrives after the Orientation Day, he/she must report first to the Erasmus Office of the International Relations Department in order to register and obtain the "Certificate for the Admission as an Erasmus Student" and then proceed to the enrollment in the chosen Faculty.
Registration at the Faculties
After their pre-registration with the European and International Relations Department, students may be enrolled in the Faculties they have chosen.
The documents needed for the enrollment of exchange students at the Secretariat of their Faculty, are:
• 5 photographs
• passport or identity card
• the "Certificate for the Admission as an Erasmus student" issued by the Erasmus Office
of the University of Athens.
The Faculty's Secretariat will provide students with the following:
• a student identification card which gives access to libraries, sport facilities etc.
• a University student card for public transport which enables students to buy tickets
or transport cards at half of the regular price
• a student medical care booklet
