Monday 27 October 2025, 12:00: Official celebration to mark the National Anniversary of the 28^th of October 1940. The ceremony will include a welcome address by the Rector of the University of Athens, Professor Gerasimos Siasos, and a panegyric by the Chair of the Department of Theology, School of Theology, University of Athens, Professor Ioannis Panagiotopoulos, entitled ‘Freedom, Homeland, Identity: The New Patriotism of the Hellenes’. The programme will close with a short musical performance by the Mixed Choir of the Department of Music Studies of the University of Athens.

On the same day, at 11:30, the long-established laying of wreaths at the marble statues and the inside of the Propylaea will take place.
