Tuesday 20 January 2026, 19:00: Lecture by Sir Roderick Beaton, Emeritus Professor of Modern Greek and Byzantine History, Language, and Literature (Koraes Chair at King’s College, London) and Chair of the Council of the British School at Athens entitled ‘From Marathon to Mariupol: Rewriting the History of Europe for the 2020s. The event is co-organized by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Municipality of Athens as part of the series of educational, cultural, and artistic activities under the title ‘NKUA in the City’, Thematic Section ‘Reason and Knowledge in the City of the 21^st Century’.
