SHORT-TERM MOBILITY FOR STUDIES (5-30 DAYS)

Organized by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), this Erasmus+ program is designed for international students who are initially selected and nominated by their home partner institutions to participate in a short-term mobility (5-30 days).

🔸 How to Participate

To apply for a short-term Erasmus+ mobility at NKUA, you must first contact the International Relations / Erasmus+ Office of your Home University to learn about their internal selection criteria, application procedures, and deadlines. Direct applications without an official nomination from a partner university cannot be processed.

For BIP Participants

  • If you have been accepted into a CIVIS BIP, our Department will contact you directly as soon as we are officially notified by the program's Academic Coordinator. Alternatively, you may contact us yourself by presenting your official Letter of Acceptance.

For Short-Term Doctoral Participants (PhD Candidates)

  • Once you have been selected by your Home University for a short-term doctoral research or training stay, and your official nomination is sent to NKUA, our Department will contact you to guide you through the application and admission process.

🔸 Language Requirements

To ensure a smooth academic integration, nominated students must meet the following language criteria:

  • General Requirement: Students must demonstrate at least a B2 level proficiency (CEFR) in either Greek or English, depending on the language of instruction of the chosen courses.
  • Postgraduate Programs (Master's / PhD): Postgraduate participants must strictly meet the specific language prerequisites defined by their chosen program. While many postgraduate courses are taught in English, some are also offered in French, German, Spanish, or Italian.

❗ Important Note on Short-Term Mobility Regulations

For 1st cycle (Bachelor's) and 2nd cycle (Master's) students, physical short-term mobility is only permitted through participation in a Blended Intensive Program (BIP) and must always include a mandatory virtual component (online sessions). Purely physical short-term mobility without a virtual component is strictly reserved for Doctoral Candidates (3rd cycle).
