INSURANCE

All staff members participating in Erasmus+ KA171 mobility for teaching and/or training must have adequate insurance coverage for the entire duration of their mobility abroad, in accordance with the Erasmus+ Programme Guide.

Required Insurance Coverage

The insurance must cover the following areas:

  • Third-party liability: Coverage for damage or injury caused to third parties, including professional liability where applicable.
  • Accidents and serious illness: Coverage for accidents, serious illness and temporary or permanent incapacity.
  • Death and repatriation: Coverage in the event of death, including repatriation from the host country.
  • Travel insurance: Coverage for travel-related risks, including loss of or damage to luggage, where relevant.

Participants are not necessarily required to purchase separate insurance policies for each category. Existing insurance arrangements may be accepted, provided they adequately cover the required risks in the host country.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that their insurance coverage is valid in the destination country and throughout the mobility period, including travel days.
